President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky plans to discuss the potential purchase of a defense package for Ukraine from the United States during a meeting with the head of the White House, Donald Trump. He said this, reports European Pravda.

Zelensky noted that "no one wants to imagine yet" how it will be necessary to fight and struggle for life without the help of the United States. At the same time, he confirmed that discussions with the U.S. regarding potential non-repayable aid are not currently underway.

“We are not talking to America today about new aid. Indeed, one of the questions I will discuss with President Trump at the meeting is regarding the defense package that Ukraine is ready to buy,” Zelensky said.

At the same time, he added that both Ukraine and Europeans must work to ensure that the alliance between Europe and America does not collapse.

“We are all interested in this. Then the continent, I think, will be more or less safe. It is not easy to threaten such an alliance,” the President of Ukraine believes.
