During the press briefing at the National Assembly (NA) on Tuesday, NA speaker Alen Simonyan responded to the question of whether the Crossroads of Peace project of Armenia was relevant in the context of the current Iran-Israel conflict.

According to the NA speaker, it is precisely in these conditions that the aforesaid project is relevant.

“There is a popular saying that ‘One door opens, another door closes.’ And vice versa, ‘One door closes, another door opens.’ Now there is a map on the internet of where the airplanes are flying. And it is obvious that Armenia and our region have in fact turned into an air corridor for civilian aircraft,” Simonyan said.

According to him, this makes not only economic sense, but also security sense.

On June 13, Israel attacked Iran, and this was followed by retaliatory measures by Iran. Military actions between the two countries are continuing to this day.
