PARIS. – French businessman, Algerian by origin, Rashid Nekkaz offered to pay from his fund for those denying the Armenian Genocide in France.
The Algerian businessman was so excited by his declaration that he arrived in Istanbul for great reception. He claimed in case French Senate approves the bill criminalizing denial of the Armenian Genocide, he would be the first to deny it and will later pay the fine for others who deny it from his fund amounting to €1 million, Turkish Sondakika reports.
However, he did not tell whether he is going to sit in jail instead of those who deny the genocide.
Earlier, French National Assembly passed the bill criminalizing denial of the Armenian Genocide. The law supposes one year of imprisonment and/or fine amounting to €45,000.
