No ballistic missiles are flying over Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan assures.

“On the contrary. Planes are flying over Armenia in such numbers that they have never flown in the history of Armenia,” Pashinyan added during his concluding address at Thursday’s National Assembly debates on the report on the implementation of the 2024 state budget of Armenia.

“But I do not want to present this as a success story with this logic, but I want to clarify that ballistic missiles are not flying over us. I want to tell you something else: as a person who has been holding the post of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia for seven years now, the Republic of Armenia has never been as prepared for international situations and circumstances, for possible regional problems, as it is today. And the most important expression of this are those foreign relations that are balanced and the result of the balancing foreign policy that we have.

Yes, it is the dynamics of the peace process with Azerbaijan. Yes, it is the process of active dialogue with Turkey. Yes, it is the normalization of our relations and our situation in various directions and the undoubted and unprecedented increase in our international standing.

We look at it very clearly because they are already realities. In 2026, Armenia will host two important events of global level: the European Political Community Summit, and the COP17 Conference on Biodiversity. These are not accidental, these are the physical expressions of a success story,” the Armenian PM said.
