Israel is urgently closing its airspace following the overnight US strike on Iran, carried out in the early hours of June 22, The Times of Israel reports.

Israel’s Airports Authority announced that the country’s airspace was being closed as a precautionary measure after the US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The measures were taken due to the expectation of a retaliatory strike on the Jewish state from Tehran.

At the same time, the land borders with Egypt and Jordan remain open, with many countries urging their citizens to evacuate through these crossings.
