The U.S. employed B-2 Spirit bombers and the GBU-57 E/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP), known as the "mother of all bombs," during its attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced.

“This was a historic strike during which B-2 Spirit bombers conducted their longest mission since 2001 and used the MOP in combat for the first time,” he stated.

According to Hegseth, the U.S. also launched “more than two dozen cruise missiles” at the facility in Isfahan. He added that Washington used a total of 75 precision-guided munitions during the strikes on Iran.

Hegseth emphasized that the U.S. strikes on Iran had been prepared over weeks with the highest level of secrecy.
