The US attack on Iran's nuclear facilities is criminal and illegal, said the Islamic Republic's foreign ministry spokesperson, Esmail Baghaei.

"For us Iranians, the US attack on Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities—all of which were protected by a safeguards agreement and were under full and permanent supervision by the International Atomic Energy Agency—is considered a completely illegal and criminal act. No person or organization in the world can justify this aggression in any way," the Iranian MFA spox said at a press briefing.

Early Sunday morning, the US Air Force launched a massive strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities at Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan. President Donald Trump said the US military had “destroyed” Iran’s nuclear facilities. And Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the US will be retaliated against.
