Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz would be a major threat, so the European Union (EU) foreign ministers will discuss the possibility of a diplomatic solution to the conflict, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said after arriving at the meeting of EU foreign ministers.

EU foreign ministers are focused on a diplomatic solution. They are particularly concerned about the risk of escalation, the consequences of which could be huge. In particular, Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz is a major threat and would not be good for anyone, said the EU foreign policy chief.
