The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) considers the US strikes on Iran a gross violation of the UN Charter, the North Korean foreign ministry spokesperson said, reports the Korean Central News Agency.

"The Democratic People's Republic of Korea strongly denounces the attack on Iran by the United States which severely violated the UN Charter with respect for sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs as the basic principle and norms of other international laws and violently trampled down the territorial integrity and security interests of a sovereign state," the North Korean foreign ministry spox said.

“The present situation of the Middle East, which is wholly shaking the basis of international peace and security, is an inevitable product brought by the reckless valor of Israel which has promoted its unilateral interests through ceaseless war moves and territorial expansion and by the Western-style free order that has tolerated and encouraged it,” Pyongyang added. 

"Israel’s and the US acts of further aggravating the tension in the Middle East and causing serious negative consequences to the global security structure by dint of physical strength under the pretext of the so-called ‘peacekeeping’ and ‘threat removal’ are amplifying serious concerns," noted the North Korean foreign ministry spox.

According to the spox, the “just international community should raise the voice of unanimous censure and rejection against the US and Israel's confrontational acts.”

Early Sunday morning, US President Donald Trump announced that the US military had successfully attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities—in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Trump added that Tehran must agree to end the conflict. Israel has been carrying out daily strikes on Iran since June 13 as part of its operation against Iran's nuclear program.
