Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs Gela Geladze, the PM’s office informs.

First, the premier welcomed his visit to Armenia and congratulated him on his appointment to this accountable position. Also, Pashinyan expressed hope that during Geladze’s tenure, the cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries will be more active and effective, and emphasized that the Armenian government will make every effort to this end.

In turn, the Georgian minister of internal affairs highlighted the age-old friendship and solid cooperation between the two countries—and in order to ensure peace and stability in the region.

Subsequently, details were provided on the discussions between the ministers of internal affairs of Armenia and Georgia. It was reported that bilateral cooperation and shared challenges were discussed. Also, they reflected on collaboration in migration, joint steps in the fight against crime and illegal drug trafficking, and draft documents to be signed between the two countries.
