The Israeli army struck a radar site near the Iranian capital Tehran in response to an early Tuesday morning Iranian missile strike on Israel, which the latter considered a violation of the ceasefire, Israeli officials said.

Iran's general staff had previously stated that the Iranians had not launched a missile strike on Israel ever since the ceasefire was announced Tuesday morning.

But US President Donald Trump has accused both Iran and Israel of violating the ceasefire, said he was unhappy with both countries, particularly Israel, and called on both sides to calm down.

According to Trump, the ceasefire between Israel and Iran is "in effect."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office released a statement saying that Israel had "refrained from further attacks" on Iran after the PM spoke to US President Donald Trump, the BBC reports.
