Prolonging military operations by supplying weapons to Ukraine is fraught with destabilization of Europe, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov said, RIA Novosti reports.

"Aware of the inevitability of defeat, the Kiev regime is betting on terrorist acts. With the support of European sponsors, it is blowing up civilian infrastructure on Russian territory. It is killing civilians. Attempts to prolong military operations by supplying weapons and mercenaries to Ukraine increase the threat of instability—including in Europe itself," Belousov said at a meeting of the defense ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states.

Also, he recalled that Russia had repeatedly expressed and continues to express its readiness to resolve the conflict.

Speaking about the Russian "special military operation" in Ukraine, the Russian defense minister stated that "the Russian Armed Forces are conducting successful offensive operations."
