Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia, Davit Karapetyan, on Wednesday met with Peer Gebauer, the Head of the Central Department of the German Federal Foreign Office, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the MFA of Armenia.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the Armenia-Germany cooperation agenda, and addressed a number of matters of mutual interest. The importance of deepening cooperation in both political and economic domains was emphasized.

The parties noted that such high-level interactions contribute to the deepening of partnership relations between the foreign ministries of the two countries and to the enhancement of the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation.

The ongoing developments in the South Caucasus, as well as the prospects for further deepening the Armenia-EU partnership were touched upon. Also, the Secretary General of the MFA of Armenia presented the current state of the Armenia-Azerbaijan and Armenia-Turkey normalization processes, and reaffirmed Armenia's vision for the normalization of relations with neighboring countries.
