Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies are conducting an operation at the office of Russia’s Sputnik-Azerbaijan news agency, according to local media reports.

Investigative measures are being carried out at the office of this media resource, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed.

On February 24, it became known about the closure of the Azerbaijan office of Russia Today (Sputnik) news agency in Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani authorities stated that this media resource can obtain accreditation for only one correspondent in Azerbaijan.

"Despite this, as it turned out, the agency continues its activities, and its employees go to work," Baku noted.
