More than 50,000 people have been evacuated due to a series of wildfires in Turkey, informed the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) of the country.
In total, more than 50,000 people from 41 settlements have been temporarily moved to safe zones, the AFAD statement said, in particular.
Most of the settlements were damaged by the wildfires that broke out near the western resort area of Izmir.
