Baku has never made any claims against the Sputnik Azerbaijan office, and the measures against Russian journalists are dictated by other considerations. This was stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova on the air of Sputnik radio on Wednesday.

"The Azerbaijani side has never had any complaints about this media outlet, either in form or in content. I have not heard of any complaints from Baku, and at this phase there have been no complaints about journalists. It is obvious that these are measures that are being taken based on considerations. Yesterday the [Azerbaijani] ambassador [to Russia] was once again informed about this," Zakharova said, RIA Novosti reports.

But at the same time, she emphasized that friendly relations are extremely important to Russia and Azerbaijan, and those who want to spoil them should think carefully about their actions.
