The National Assembly (NA) of Armenia on Wednesday passed, in the first reading, bill to fine those who use Yerevan public transport without paying and to define actions of respective inspectors in Yerevan public transport.
The aforementioned bill passed with 62 votes in favor, 27 against, and no abstentions.
Yerevan Municipality has proposed to fine those who boycott Yerevan public transport fare payments.
The bill proposes to fine as follows:
3,000 drams for not validating the payment methods after getting on the public transport vehicle.
10,000 drams for not paying for public transport use.
And 15,000 drams for paying by using the payment methods intended for another person.
