Ukraine will do everything to force the Azerbaijani side to continue emotional actions in the current situation with the Russian Federation, stated Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, Russian media report.

A telephone conversation was held Tuesday between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy. According to Aliyev's press service, the conversation was initiated by Zelenskyy.

"Ukraine will do everything to add fuel to the fire, to force the Azerbaijani side to continue emotional actions—this is very easy to predict. Russia has never threatened and does not threaten Azerbaijan," Peskov said. "Even what has become the main reason—investigative actions and work to uncover the crime, including against Azerbaijani citizens on the territory of Russia. Well, of course, the Kiev regime will analyze this information in every way in order to provoke further tension."
