Five employees of Sputnik Azerbaijan, who are citizens of this country, have been released on their own recognizance. This is reported by Sputnik.

On June 30, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry said that an “operation” was conducted in the office of Sputnik Azerbaijan in Baku.

Later, the Sputnik agency reported that law enforcers in Baku detained two Russian journalists on absurd charges: Sputnik Azerbaijan editorial head Igor Kartavykh and editor-in-chief Yevgeny Belousov. According to local media reports, the employees were accused of being “FSB agents”, the agency specified.

RIA Novosti also reported about the detention of a female Ruptly employee, editor, who was in Azerbaijan on a private visit.
