Azerbaijan assures that it does not supply any military components to the parties to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Hikmat Hajiyev, assistant to the president of Azerbaijan and head of the foreign policy department of the presidential administration, said this in an interview with the Slovak publication Hospodarske noviny.

"Russia is our [i.e. Azerbaijan] neighbor. We have good neighborly relations with it. And having good relations with all our neighbors is a priority not only for Azerbaijan, but also for every country in the world. But the same applies to Ukraine, too. (...)

“At the same time, I must emphasize one more thing: the main cornerstone of Azerbaijan's foreign policy is the absolutely inviolable principle of territorial integrity. Our country has suffered greatly from the violation of this principle in the past. Therefore, we definitely support the protection of the territorial integrity of other countries. But at the same time, we refrain from interfering in any way in the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine," Hajiyev noted.

According to him, Azerbaijan "maintains a safe distance from supplying any military components to this conflict."

"We are providing only humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Also, we are supplying some necessary equipment, such as electric generators. We are not involved in any way in military assistance, we are not part of any such operations," said the Azerbaijani presidential aide.
