Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan met with Earle Courtenay Rattray, the Chef de Cabinet of the Executive Office of the UN Secretary General, on Monday in New York, Armenian News-NEWS.am is informed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the UN80 initiative of the UN Secretary General, and emphasized the importance of ensuring inclusivity and balance.

The situation in the South Caucasus was touched upon, too. In this connection, Abisoghomonyan reiterated the commitment of Armenia towards advancing the peace agenda in the region, and briefed his counterpart on the Crossroads of Peace initiative developed by the Armenian government.

Also, the efforts of Armenia in the preparations for the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) to be held in Armenia in 2026 was touched upon.
