In Paris, police raided the headquarters of the French far-right Rassemblement National party this morning, as reported by party president Jordan Bardella.

According to him, about twenty members of the police financial brigade, armed and wearing body armor, as well as two investigating magistrates ,entered key offices of the party's leadership and seized all emails, documents and accounting records related to the recent election campaigns - regional, presidential, parliamentary and European.

Bardella emphasized that the party does not yet know the exact reasons for these actions and called the operation “spectacular and unprecedented.”

"This is clearly part of a new campaign of harassment. It is a serious attack on pluralism. Never before has an opposition party been subjected to such unprecedented pressure during the Fifth Republic," Bardella said in a publication in X.
