YEREVAN.-During 2011 Armenia was consistent in deepening political dialogue with the European states and development of cooperation in various fields, says the report issued by Armenian MFA.

The head of state paid numerous visits to the European countries, including Cyprus, Greece, Latvia, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, France, Italy and Vatican.

State visit of President Serzh Sargsyan to France became historic from the viewpoint of its results and significance.

Armenian Foreign Ministry held political consultations with counterparts from Estonia, UK, Poland, Germany, France, Italy and Greece.

Meetings of Armenian-Cypriot, Armenian-Romanian, Armenian-Polish and Armenian-Austrian inter-governmental committees took place in 2011.

About three dozens of bilateral agreements, memorandums and treaties, protocols and joint declarations were signed.

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian was present at the opening ceremonies of Armenia’s Embassies in Denmark, Latvia, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.

Embassy of Switzerland was opened in Yerevan.
