The US has begun supplying Ukraine with 155 mm artillery shells and GMLRS guided missiles for mobile rocket systems. Two US officials told Reuters on condition of anonymity.

This happened a few days after President Donald Trump's administration suspended some critical arms deliveries to Kyiv because they were worried that US stocks might be too low.

Trump himself then said he did not know who had given the order to suspend the deliveries and promised to increase arms supplies to Ukraine, primarily defensive weapons, to help the country defend itself against growing pressure from Russian troops.

Officials did not specify how many shells and missiles had been shipped or whether the shipment had been completed. It is also unclear whether deliveries of other types of weapons, including air defense systems, will resume.

It is known that last week, 30 Patriot missiles, more than 8,500 155-mm artillery shells, over 250 GMLRS guided missiles, and 142 Hellfire air-to-ground missiles were frozen.
