YEREVAN. – Investigation on Armenia’s former police general Hovhannes Tamamyan is over, Armenian Special Investigation Service (SIS) informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

SIS added that Tamamyan does not acknowledge the guilt. Besides, period of his detention, prolonged for four times, expires on Tuesday.

Earlier Armenian News-NEWS.am has informed that Kentron and Nork-Marash Court of General Jurisdiction in Yerevan has examined the application of the SIS investigator on Nov. 17, 2011 to prolong the detention period for Tamamyan for another two months. The court session passed without Tamamyan, as he had just refused to participate in it. Tamamyan is arrested since March 24, 2011 accused in abuse of power, which caused serious consequences.
