YEREVAN. – Court trial on Lieutenant Artak Nazaryan’s death case on Tuesday was accompanied with confusion and unpleasant incident at Shengavit First Instance Court in Yerevan.

Prosecutor Harutyun Harutyunyan had intervened to include Prosecutor Hayk Haroyan to defend the accusation together. However, Nazaryan’s successor Tsovinar Nazaryan was against it as the accusation is false. The Judge Samvel Mardanyan has rejected the intervention.

Afterwards, Arman Mnatsakanyan, a key witness was examined. The Judge has for several times intervened in the process of asking questions to Alvard Mnatsakanyan, defendant for three culprits, and has directed her, who gave contradicting answers.  As a result, it led to complaints in the court room and an unpleasant incident occurred between the relatives and law enforcement agents. The latter managed to relax the situation. However, it again became tense when the witness gave testimonies against the culprit Harutik Kirakosyan. The judge had to postpone the trial till Wednesday.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am has earlier informed, witness Arman Mnatsakanyan had claimed that he does not remember many things. Nevertheless, he mentioned some essential things, in particular that the incident occurred not on July 27 as claimed before, but on July 26.

Artak Nazaryan was killed in 2010 in Mehrabner military unit in Armenia’s Tavush Region. Relatives and lawyers believe he was killed, while corresponding bodies veil the incident.
