The fire in Khosrov Forest State Reserve was extinguished on Sunday at 10:16pm, Armenian NEWS.am was informed by the Rescue Service of Armenia. On Saturday at 2:20pm, the operational group on duty at Khosrov Forest State Reserve had noticed a grass fire in the reserve area.

Four fire brigades and 12 operational groups from the Rescue Service units were dispatched to the scene. The fire was isolated on Saturday at 7:04pm.

Police forces, employees of the Khosrov Forest State Reserve, the Eco-Patrol Service, partner organizations, local residents, and a Ministry of Defense helicopter also were engaged in extinguishing the fire in the reserve. About 3 hectares of grass, trees, and bushes were burned. Firefighters are still on duty in the area. Firefighting operations were led on site by Kamo Tsutsulyan, Director of the Rescue Service - Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
