The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, Zhanna Andreasyan, received French ambassador Olivier Decottignies, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Andreasyan emphasized the friendly and historically strong relations between Armenia and France.

Touching upon the programs being jointly implemented, Andreasyan highlighted the program for training French teachers in Armenia.

The parties discussed as well cooperation in culture, in particular, touched upon the exhibition “Colors and Lights of Armenian Impressionism” at the Barbizon Cultural Center in France. The organizational matters of the exhibition to be held jointly with the Louvre Museum in September at the History Museum of Armenia were also discussed. In this connection, more than a dozen significant exhibits are planned to be transferred from the Louvre collection to Armenia.

Ambassador Decottignies noted that Armenia and France had already established a dynamic, mutually beneficial, and effective cooperation built on mutual trust and shared values. Also, he reaffirmed France's readiness to continuously invest efforts in deepening cooperation, implementing new initiatives, and strengthening bilateral partnership with Armenia—and for the benefit of both peoples.

Several other matters of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
