Earlier, US President Trump said that the US would “set a tariff, essentially, for the rest of the world” for those countries that have not reached a trade agreement with Washington, Reuters reports.
Asked what level he would set, Trump said, “In the 15% to 20% range,” he said.
U.S. trading partners have an Aug. 1 deadline to sign agreements, otherwise they face high duties.
