The Iravunk daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: Each of the so-called army of those who are carrying out the campaign against the [Armenian Apostolic] Church is conducting surveys in their neighborhoods, provinces, and it is based on these surveys that the campaign has been put off.

According to our CC [i.e. the ruling Civil Contract Party and its parliamentary faction] sources, the society [in Armenia] does not share the latter’s aggression against the church; moreover, most of the respondents have urged the CC members not to delve into such topics. “After you, that dirt will remain on your children’s skirts,” said most of the respondents.

And accordingly, the situation was reported to [PM Nikol] Pashinyan, who took a “timeout” until the collection of compromising material [against the Armenian Apostolic Church].
