Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan, who is on a working visit to New York, on Wednesday met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Greece Yiannis Loverdos, Armenian News-NEWS.am is informed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

The interlocutors commended the positive dynamics in the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries, and expressed readiness to elevate cooperation in domains of mutual interest to a new level. In this context, the importance of holing high-level mutual visits was stressed.

The deputy FM of Armenia briefed his Greek interlocutor on the measures being taken by the Armenian government following the adoption of the law "On the launch of the process of accession of the Republic of Armenia to the European Union," and exchanged views on the 8th Summit of the European Political Community set to be held in Armenia’s capital Yerevan next year.

Also, Vahan Kostanyan and Yiannis Loverdos touched upon current matters on the regional and international agenda. In this connection, Kostanyan briefed his interlocutor on the latest developments in the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process.
