The Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has reported an increase in cyberattacks aimed at undermining the organization's work and compromising its employees.

According to the press service, the attackers are trying to gain unauthorized access to internal information systems and steal personal data of the organization's employees for the purpose of subsequent provocations and fraud.

“All necessary measures are being taken to protect information,”

the Secretariat emphasized, calling for reliance exclusively on verified official sources when obtaining information about the CSTO's activities.

The Russian Prosecutor General's Office confirmed the hacking attack and opened a criminal case under the article on illegal access to computer information (Part 4 of Article 272 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
