UN Secretary-General António Guterres welcomes the trilateral meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and US President Donald Trump, which will take place tomorrow in Washington. This was stated to Azerbaijani media by Farhan Haq, Deputy Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General.

According to him, the UN has always supported and encouraged any progress towards the full normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“In particular, the steps taken in March to agree on a draft peace agreement between the two countries were very important in this regard. Secretary-General Guterres welcomes and looks forward to tomorrow's meeting between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan with President Donald Trump,” Farhan Haq emphasized.
