U.S. President Donald Trump, following his meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, stated that he is “very confident” long-term peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan is possible.
After the bilateral meeting with the Armenian prime minister, as Trump was welcoming the president of Azerbaijan, a journalist asked:
“President Trump, how confident are you that there can be lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan?”
“Very confident,” Trump replied.
