We are lifting restrictions on defense cooperation with Azerbaijan, declared U.S. President Donald Trump during the summit with Pashinyan and Aliyev.

“This is an important event,” he explained.

According to him, both countries are satisfied with this decision.

He also reiterated that the U.S. has destroyed Iran’s nuclear potential.

It is worth noting that this refers to the suspension of enforcement of Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act.

Thus, the U.S. will cancel the provision of the 1992 Freedom Support Act that prohibits direct assistance to the Azerbaijani government due to its disputes with Armenia.
