A strong earthquake struck Turkey's capital Ankara on Monday morning, informed the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) of the country.

According to seismologists, a 3.2-magnitude tremor was recorded in Ankara's Etimesgut district—and at a depth of 4.68 km.

Residents of several houses which are located near the state television building in the Turkish capital's Cankaya district felt the quake.
