The Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: The advisor to RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan has been arrested on charges of creating a criminal organization and embezzlement.

Arshak Ordukhanyan, who, according to the order, was supposed to replace the CC [i.e. the ruling Civil Contract Party and its parliamentary faction] member Vilen Gabrielyan, who resigned [as an MP], is facing another criminal case which is already in court.

The Zhoghovurd daily learned that he has been charged with organizing illegal migration by falsifying and using documents certifying facts of legal significance, reserving rights in the group.

Let us note that according to the press, in November 2021, Arshak Ordukhanyan was appointed as an advisor to [then] Deputy Prime Minister Suren Papikyan on a on a public basis, and from March 14, 2022 to the present, he has been the acting director of Zinar CJSC, which provides various services to the MoD, and is also the founder of Arshak and Lusine LLC. In 2009, he received a license to open a casino in Argavand [village], also owned a pawnshop, etc.
