Armenia's second President Robert Kocharyan and several other former officials are demanded to compensate the 670 million drams (approx. US$1,741,800) that were allocated to the victims of the tragedy that had occurred in the capital Yerevan on March 1-2, 2008.

The Prosecutor General's Office on Monday filed a lawsuit for the protection of state interests with the Anti-Corruption Court, the Prosecutor General's Office informs.

The lawsuit demands as a retroactive claim to recover the 670 million drams allocated from the Armenian state budget to the victims of the events that took place in Yerevan on March 1-2, 2008, from second President Robert Kocharyan, former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan, former Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, and former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Yuri Khachaturov, in a co-defendant manner.
