The death toll from malnutrition in the Gaza Strip due to the food crisis has reached 227, the health ministry of this Palestinian semi-enclave announced on Tuesday.
The Gaza Strip's health ministry recorded five deaths—including two children—from starvation and malnutrition in the past 24 hours. This brings the death toll from starvation to 227, including 103 children, the ministry added in a statement.
According to Gaza authorities, 173 people have died of starvation in Gaza since the beginning of 2025, compared to 50 in 2024 and four the previous year.
