Representatives of Russia and Ukraine have held another round of prisoner swap, informs the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD).

Russia has returned 84 servicemen from Ukraine, in exchange for whom 84 prisoners of the Ukrainian armed forces were transferred. This prisoner swap took place with the mediation of the United Arab Emirates, the Russian MoD added.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also confirmed this prisoner exchange.

"Among the civilians released today are those who had been held by the Russians since 2014, 2016, and 2017," Zelenskyy wrote on X Thursday. "Among the military [personnel] released today are the defenders of Mariupol."

Thirty-three military service members and 51 civilians were returned to Ukraine in the latest swap, said Ukraine's Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
