The US Department of the Treasury has put the Russian A7 payment system, the Grinex crypto exchange, and several other companies on its sanctions list.
The respective decision was posted on the US Treasury Department’s website, where it says that the Department has again put the Garantex cryptocurrency exchange on its sanctions list because, as the US believes, Garantex has directly supported known cybercriminals and malware developers, processing transactions worth more than $100 million since 2019.
The successor to Garantex, Grinex, also has been put on this sanctions list.
In addition, measures have been taken against three executives of Garantex and six affiliated companies operating in Russia and Kyrgyzstan, which the US Treasury Department accuses of assisting the aforesaid exchange's participation in malicious cyber activities.
