We both agreed that it is time to work towards elevating the relations between our countries to the level of “strategic partnership.” Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this after his meeting with visiting Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, on Tuesday in Yerevan.

According to Pashinyan, the active and constructive dialogue established between the governments of Armenia and Iran is one of the guarantees for the stable development of brotherly relations between the two countries.

Also, he expressed confidence that the current visit by Iranian President Pezeshkian to Armenia will give new impetus and quality to the friendly relations between the two countries.

“The basis of the current strong and mutually beneficial partnership between the peoples of Armenia and Iran is a strong friendship, which has withstood the test of time with honor and, in some sense, also connected the historical path of our two peoples,” the Armenian premier added.
