The United States completely ignored the norms of international law by deciding to strike Iran's nuclear facilities in June, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said during expanded-format talks with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, in Belarus.

"The US, violating all international norms, attacked Iran's nuclear facilities. They violated international law and all universally accepted norms. The Islamic Republic of Iran has never launched a war against any [country]. However, when we became the target of attacks, we had to respond. We realize that the West wants to dominate the [Middle East] region. These attacks were aimed not only at Iran, but also at all independent countries of the world," the Iranian president said.
