The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) office will soon cease operations in Azerbaijan, according to Aurelia Lachant, the organization's public relations specialist.

According to her, the ICRC is currently in talks with Azerbaijan about the future of its work with people protected by international humanitarian law. She didn't give any details about these discussions.

Earlier, the head of the ICRC's Azerbaijani office, Dragana Kojic, said at a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov that the organization would cease its activities in the country in early September.
