The European Union (EU) foreign policy chief has reacted to the damage to the EU mission building in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, which occurred last night as a result of massive shelling by Russia.

"No diplomatic mission should ever be a target," Kaja Kallas said, DW reports.

French President Emmanuel Macron also issued a statement.

"629 missiles and drones in a single night over Ukraine: this is Russia’s idea of peace. Terror and barbarism. More than a dozen dead, including children. (…).France condemns these senseless and cruel attacks in the strongest possible terms," Macron wrote, in particular, on X.
