Pakistan's foreign minister Ishaq Dar has made an announcement on social media regarding the establishment of diplomatic relations between his country and Armenia.
"Today, H.E. Foreign Minister of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, and I are pleased to sign and exchange a Joint Communiqué establishing diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Armenia, on the sidelines of the 25th SCO [i.e. the Shanghai Cooperation Organization] Summit in Tianjin, China.
We reaffirmed our commitment to the principles and objectives of the UN Charter, and agreed to work together to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in diverse fields, including economy, education, culture, and tourism," the Pakistani FM wrote on X on Sunday.
