Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Tianjin, China, the Armenian PM’s office informs.

The interlocutors, emphasizing the further expansion and deepening of friendly relations and political dialogue between Armenia and Vietnam, discussed the agenda of mutual visits and diplomatic contacts, the intensification of cooperation in trade and investment, and the promotion of business ties.

The parties noted with satisfaction that bilateral trade between Armenia and Vietnam has been growing in recent years, but there is great potential to consistently increase the amount. In this regard, the active activities of the Armenia-Vietnam intergovernmental commission on economic, trade, and scientific-technical cooperation, as well as the holding of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, were highlighted.

They reflected also on mutual support on international platforms, deepening of ties in the tourism sector, and opportunities to facilitate mutual visits.
