China will support the further development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), including financially, Chinese President Xi Jinping said at the SCO summit in Tianjin, China on Monday, CGTN reports.

A day earlier, Xi had made it clear that the SCO will develop both intensively and extensively. The Chinese leader had stressed on Sunday that his country supports Armenia and Azerbaijan joining the SCO as permanent members. Currently, these two countries have the status of dialogue partners in the SCO.
