Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan on Tuesday met with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, Melita Gabric, on the sidelines of the Bled Strategic Forum.

The interlocutors commended the high level of political dialogue between Armenia and Slovenia, and stressed the importance of maintaining and deepening the continuity of contacts, informs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the developing of cooperation between the two countries in trade, economy, investment, science, education, information technology, tourism, and some other domains.

Separately, Kostanyan lauded the humanitarian programs being implemented by Slovenia in Armenia.

The interlocutors touched also upon Armenia-EU relations and, in this context, emphasized the importance of studying the Slovenian experience of EU membership.

In addition, the deputy FM briefed on the agreements reached during the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process in Washington, and presented Armenia’s vision regarding the next steps toward institutionalizing of peace.
