We discussed with the president of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Jin Liqun, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on Facebook, and posted an accompanying video.

Pashinyan noted that Armenia's membership in AIIB opens up new prospects for the implementation of investment programs, the PM's office informs.

The parties emphasized that collaboration will contribute to the implementation of projects in infrastructure development.

During the meeting, possible domains of joint work were also discussed, including programs for the development of transport, energy, and communication infrastructure.

Also, PM Pashinyan touched upon the Academic City project of Armenia, and highlighted the possible engagement of the AIIB as an investor.

In turn, AIIB president Jin Liqun emphasized that the bank is ready to support the development of Armenia's economic, scientific, education sectors by investing in programs that will contribute to the country's long-term growth and deepening of regional ties.

The parties agreed to continue work aimed at developing and implementing specific investment projects.
